Abstract

Assisted Reproductive Technologies (ART) have revolutionized infertility treatment and enabled millions of couples worldwide to achieve successful pregnancies. Since the birth of the first in vitro fertilization (IVF) baby in 1978, substantial technological advancements have improved fertilization rates, implantation success, embryo selection, and live birth outcomes. This review examines the clinical outcomes associated with ART procedures including in vitro fertilization (IVF), intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI), frozen embryo transfer (FET), preimplantation genetic testing (PGT), and emerging reproductive technologies. Key outcome measures such as clinical pregnancy rates, live birth rates, neonatal outcomes, maternal complications, and long-term child health are discussed. The article also explores factors influencing ART success and future directions in reproductive medicine. Overall, ART has significantly improved reproductive outcomes, although continued efforts are required to optimize safety, accessibility, and cost-effectiveness.
